Agrarian Structure - Land Holding
Land Holding in Meghalaya means the operational holdings, as there is little concept of ownership under the traditional land system. The pattern of operational holdings in the State is characterised by the predominance of small and marginal farmers (below 2 Ha.) who operate 82.57% of the total cropped area.
